Chakras

Ah, yes, my quickly drawn figure.  

Chakra, the Sanskrit word for wheel, is a spinning energy vortex within the body.  These centers help move energy and vitality through the body. Kind of like how blood circulates, but with seven hearts instead of one.   There are many arguments as to how many chakras the body contains, but it is agreed that there are seven major ones.  They are located from the base of the spine to the crown of the head, and they each spin against each other like gears. 

  

Wheels, see. Like that. 

We collect energy through the vibrations around us, and chakras will draw in vibrations of their frequency as it encounters them.  Each chakra has a specific vibration, thus a specific color. When one chakra is out of sync with the others, it tends to throw the system off balance. 

Chakras govern one specific gland, as well as certain emotions and physical symptoms.
